Getting Your Day A Pleasant Start
After waking up from a good night sleep, a glorious day awaits you. How you handle these first few hours will determine what kind of day you will have. Whether we realize it or not, each of us has some type of morning routine.
How can you make a mediocre morning become a great morning? Well, for starters, you need to get up at a sensible time, early in the morning.
Perhaps one of the most useful routines is to open all the windows in your house as soon as you wake up (weather permitting, of course.) This will help you to feel energized and refreshed, ready to face the day that lays ahead of you. Brush your teeth and drink a few glasses of water and you will feel almost ready to face the day.
Others find that exercising helps them to feel more alert throughout the day, not to mention keeping their body in good shape. Some find relaxing things to do, such as yoga and meditation. Still others might go for a brisk morning walk.
After your exercise routine, it would probably be a good idea to take a bath or shower. Warm water will help you to feel the most relaxed and refreshed.
Make sure you eat a healthy breakfast before your morning is too far gone. Proper nutrition will go a long way to making you feel better and be at your best.
Those morning chores always seem to get you down? Try listening to your favorite music while doing them to put you in a better frame of mind. Or, read a book or newspaper a few minutes before starting your chores so you have something constructive to think about.
If you have many things to accomplish today, try making a list. This will give you a goal. Also, spend an adequate amount of time on dressing and grooming. If you are looking your best, you will eventually feel your best. Try also to keep a cheerful look on your face. People will respond in kind.
These are just a few way you can get your day of to a wonderful start. At the end of the day, sit down and take account of your day. Did you accomplish everything you wanted? How did your day really go? Then, plan for tomorrow so that you are set up to have another successful, wonderful day.
